Hoar Cross Hotel and Spa is a very prestigious Hotel and Spa complex in 50 acres of rolling Derbyshire countryside and a long standing customer to Bryland Fire. When a recent Fire Risk Assessment identified the need to consider Automatic Kitchen Fire Suppression, it was left to Bryland to identify the risk associated and fit equipment that would negate that risk.
The Hotel and Spa complex has five kitchens on site, and so all were fitted with their own ANSUL R102 Kitchen Fire Suppression system. The system has both LPS 1223 and UL300 certification.
Whilst four of the kitchens were relatively easy to install during daytime hours, the main kitchen works 18 hours, 7 days and so it was up to Bryland’s Project Manager to liase with the kitchen management, as to when would be the best time to install the system. It was done during the night time, and all was ready to cook again when the kitchen opened at 6am.
The customer was a pleasure to work with, and the systems were fitted with the very minimum of fuss. A very smoothly executed project with some very good looking installs
